나의 작업은 형상과 비형상이라는 대립된 구조들의 결합, 질감의 대비를 통한 금속조각을 설치하여 보여준다.
기능화 된 사물의 형상위에 드로잉 하여 쇠를 자르고, 접고, 붙이고, 두들겨 결합된 작업은 철 또는 주조기법으로 변환되어 다양한 조형의 기호로 표현된다.
즉, 단일 된 재료인 철과 청동의 물성으로 공간과 선, 면에 대하여 새로운 형상을 담은 메시지를 전달함과 동시에 물성과 공간해석에 대한 관계성, 절제된 조형적 감수성을 보여 주고자한다.

My work shows combination of opposing structures between shape and non-shape and is shown by installing a piece of metal through the contrast of textures.
The works functionalized by drawing on top of the iron in the shape of things, cutting, folding, pasting, and beating things are represented by symbols combined task of modeling a variety of casting techniques.
I want to show moderate sensitivity through using steel as material property while conveying a message as well as analysis of the properties and spatial relationships.
Also, ideal images of the installation works are much the same with panoramic various abstract representation and the various variations of the nature.//도태근//
