“우연한 팽창”
금속에 열을 가하면 금속이 가지고 있는 분자의 운동에너지가 증가하여 매우 활발하게 움직이며 분자가 차지하는 공간이 넓어지게 되어 금속의 부피가 늘어나는 현상이 일어난다. 나는 수많은 금속을 다루었으며 모든 금속에 확장된 공간을 주어 시간의 의미를 담아 공기를 가두어 제작 하였다.

계획된 작업과 예측할 수 없는 우연성을 복합하여 탄생한 작업들은 시간과 날짜를 표기하여 완성 되었다. 모든 작업들은 2019년 봄 이후로 그해 가을까지의 공기를 보관하는데 성공 하였다.

“Accidental inflation”
Applying heat to metal stimulates kinetic energy of metal’s molecules, activates it, enlarges the space of the molecules, finally increases volume of metal.
I have delved into working with a wide variety of metals, specializing in expanding and sculpting the metal by incorporating air. The metal is sealed, enclosing the air within, to represent time that is forever captured.
Art works created through the process of planned work and inevitability of unexpectable accidentality, are completely born with date and time marked on them.
All my exertions have saved momentary status and situation of air at a specific time from spring to fall seasons in 2019.//
